  3. Producers;
  4. Production designers;
  5. Art directors;
  6. Cinematographers;
  7. Costume designers;
  8. Actors and performers;
  9. Technicians and crew;
  10. Vendors;
  11. Rental companies;
  12. Equipment owners;
  13. Location owners;
  14. Collectors;
  15. Buyers;
  16. Renters;
  17. Auction participants;
  18. Students;
  19. Film enthusiasts; and
  20. Other industry professionals.

Our objective is to provide a professional marketplace where participants can discover opportunities, conduct transactions and collaborate responsibly.

2. THE BASIC PRINCIPLE

Treat people, property and the platform with respect.

Every User is expected to act honestly, professionally and lawfully.

The fact that a particular activity is technically possible on the platform does not mean that it is appropriate or permitted.

3. USE YOUR REAL AND ACCURATE INFORMATION

Users should provide accurate information when creating accounts, listings, profiles and transactions.

Do not:

  1. Impersonate another person;
  2. Create misleading identities;
  3. Misrepresent a company or organization;
  4. Falsify qualifications;
  5. Provide deliberately misleading contact information; or
  6. Misrepresent ownership or authority.

ShootingSet may request verification where reasonably necessary.

4. CREATE HONEST LISTINGS

Listings should accurately describe what is being offered.

A Vendor should provide, where relevant:

  1. Accurate title;
  2. Description;
  3. Photographs;
  4. Condition;
  5. Quantity;
  6. Dimensions;
  7. Specifications;
  8. Availability;
  9. Location;
  10. Price;
  11. Rental terms;
  12. Delivery information;
  13. Return terms; and
  14. Material restrictions.

Do not deliberately hide important information that could affect a User’s decision.

5. USE AUTHENTIC PHOTOGRAPHS AND CONTENT

Users should use photographs, videos and descriptions that accurately represent the item or service being offered.

Do not:

  1. Use another Vendor’s photographs without authorization;
  2. Use misleading stock images to represent a different product;
  3. Manipulate images to hide material defects;
  4. Claim that an item is screen-used when it is not;
  5. Claim celebrity ownership or association without evidence; or
  6. Create false provenance.

6. RESPECT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Do not upload, sell, distribute or use content that infringes another person’s intellectual-property rights.

This includes:

  1. Copyrighted photographs;
  2. Film footage;
  3. Music;
  4. Artwork;
  5. Logos;
  6. Trademarks;
  7. Designs;
  8. Scripts;
  9. Character artwork;
  10. Brand assets; and
  11. Other protected material.

Users should have the necessary rights, permissions or licences for content they upload or offer.

7. RESPECT FILM AND ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS

Film-related assets can involve complex rights.

For example, owning a physical prop does not necessarily mean owning:

  1. Copyright;
  2. Trademark rights;
  3. Character rights;
  4. Publicity rights;
  5. Personality rights;
  6. Film footage;
  7. Production artwork; or
  8. Other intellectual-property rights.

Users must not represent physical ownership as ownership of unrelated intellectual-property rights.

8. DO NOT SELL WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELL

Users must have lawful ownership or authority to sell, rent, license or otherwise provide an asset or service.

Do not list:

  1. Stolen property;
  2. Misappropriated property;
  3. Property belonging to another person without authorization;
  4. Assets subject to undisclosed legal restrictions; or
  5. Items that you are not legally entitled to transact.

9. KEEP TRANSACTIONS PROFESSIONAL

Users should communicate clearly and professionally.

Avoid:

  1. Abusive language;
  2. Threats;
  3. Harassment;
  4. Personal attacks;
  5. Discriminatory abuse;
  6. Intimidation;
  7. Repeated unwanted contact; or
  8. Deliberately disruptive behaviour.

Professional disagreements are acceptable. Personal abuse is not.

10. NO HARASSMENT

Users must not use ShootingSet to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or repeatedly contact another User against their wishes.

This applies to:

  1. Messages;
  2. Calls initiated through platform features;
  3. Reviews;
  4. Comments;
  5. Listings;
  6. Auction activity; and
  7. Other platform interactions.

11. NO HATEFUL OR DISCRIMINATORY CONTENT

Users must not use ShootingSet to promote hateful or discriminatory abuse against individuals or groups.

Content that violates applicable law may also be removed.

ShootingSet may take appropriate action against accounts involved in serious or repeated violations.

12. NO SEXUAL HARASSMENT OR EXPLOITATIVE CONDUCT

ShootingSet must not be used to facilitate:

  1. Sexual harassment;
  2. Sexual exploitation;
  3. Non-consensual sexual content;
  4. Sexual solicitation involving minors;
  5. Trafficking; or
  6. Other unlawful sexual activity.

Professional casting, costume, performance and production activities must be conducted lawfully and with appropriate consent and safeguards.

13. PROTECT MINORS

Users must comply with applicable laws and safeguards when dealing with minors.

Do not use ShootingSet to:

  1. Exploit minors;
  2. Groom minors;
  3. Request inappropriate personal information;
  4. Arrange unlawful activities involving minors; or
  5. Upload exploitative content involving minors.

Where children participate in legitimate film or production activities, appropriate parental/guardian permissions and legal requirements should be followed.

14. DO NOT PROMOTE ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

ShootingSet must not be used to facilitate illegal activity.

This includes transactions involving prohibited or unlawfully controlled:

  1. Weapons;
  2. Explosives;
  3. Drugs;
  4. Stolen property;
  5. Counterfeit goods;
  6. Hazardous materials;
  7. Fraudulent documents; or
  8. Other unlawful goods or services.

Additional restrictions may apply to props or equipment that resemble regulated items.

15. FILM PROPS THAT RESEMBLE WEAPONS OR DANGEROUS OBJECTS

Film productions may use replicas and controlled production props.

However, Users must comply with applicable laws and safety requirements.

A User must not use ShootingSet to arrange unlawful possession, transportation or use of an actual weapon, explosive or other prohibited item.

Where a production prop requires special handling, the relevant permissions and safeguards remain the responsibility of the parties involved.

16. NO FRAUD OR DECEPTION

Do not use ShootingSet to:

  1. Create fake transactions;
  2. Manipulate prices;
  3. Submit false claims;
  4. Provide fake documents;
  5. Misrepresent payment;

Auction participants must participate honestly.

Prohibited conduct may include:

  1. Fake bids;
  2. Bid manipulation;
  3. Coordinated bidding intended to distort price;
  4. Bidding without genuine intent to purchase;
  5. Artificially inflating prices;
  6. Collusion; or
  7. Other auction manipulation.

Auction-specific rules may impose additional requirements.

19. DO NOT CIRCUMVENT SHOOTINGSET

ShootingSet may facilitate introductions between Buyers, Renters, Vendors and other Users.

Users must not deliberately use the platform to establish a transaction and then move the transaction off-platform for the purpose of:

  1. Avoiding applicable ShootingSet fees;
  2. Avoiding platform rules;
  3. Circumventing payment systems;
  4. Evading safety or verification measures; or
  5. Defeating contractual obligations.

Legitimate professional communication outside the platform is not automatically prohibited; the concern is deliberate circumvention of the platform’s applicable transaction framework.

20. RESPECT REVIEWS AND RATINGS

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences.

Do not:

  1. Write fake reviews;
  2. Buy reviews;
  3. Threaten someone for a negative review;
  4. Offer payment in exchange for a particular review;
  5. Review a transaction you did not participate in; or
  6. Manipulate ratings.

Users may provide honest criticism, provided it is expressed responsibly and does not violate applicable law.

21. DO NOT RETALIATE AGAINST USERS

Users should not retaliate against another User because that person:

  1. Submitted a complaint;
  2. Left a negative review;
  3. Reported a listing;

  1. Upload malware;
  2. Attempt unauthorized access;
  3. Attack the platform;
  4. Circumvent security controls;
  5. Scrape restricted information;
  6. Interfere with platform operations;
  7. Introduce malicious code; or
  8. Exploit technical vulnerabilities for harmful purposes.

Security vulnerabilities should be reported responsibly to ShootingSet.

  1. Mass unsolicited messages;
  2. Repeated promotional messages;
  3. Automated spam;
  4. Irrelevant commercial communications; or
  5. Other disruptive communications.

26. COMMERCIAL COMMUNICATIONS

Commercial communications should be relevant to the recipient and comply with applicable law.

Users should not abuse messaging tools to aggressively promote unrelated products or services.

27. RESPECT PRODUCTION PROFESSIONALISM

ShootingSet is intended for the film and production ecosystem.

  5. Disclose cancellations; and
  6. Cooperate when problems arise.

28. DO NOT DOUBLE-BOOK

Vendors should maintain accurate availability.

A Vendor should not accept multiple conflicting bookings for the same asset or service unless the commitments can genuinely be fulfilled.

If a conflict occurs, the Vendor should notify affected Users immediately.

ShootingSet is a marketplace and does not automatically provide professional safety certification or supervision.

34. ANIMALS AND SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Where animals or special activities are involved in production, Users must comply with applicable laws, welfare requirements, permits and professional standards.

35. RESPONSIBLE USE OF AI

Users should not use AI to:

  1. Impersonate people deceptively;
  2. Create fraudulent credentials;
  3. Generate unlawful content;
  4. Misappropriate another person’s identity;
  5. Infringe intellectual-property rights; or
  6. Deceive another User about material facts.

36. AUTHENTICITY AND PROVENANCE
